My Story About Me - A Little Something About Me And How I Started Writing About MeI wrote a little something about myself a while back in a blog that is not still active on the Internet. It was, however, popular. In case you're curious, here it is. So here's my story about myself and how I ended up writing a little something about myself.I was a college kid in the early days. I took a few classes, got accepted to a few colleges, but I didn't exactly choose which one to go to or where I wanted to go. My senior year I was in an AP English class and I'd seen the teacher before and decided to check out the courses offered.There was nothing very interesting about it, but I was curious about the program and what it would entail. I remembered the teacher had mentioned something about it being a writing exercise and I wondered if she had an interesting one she could use to explain the program. The teacher did and it was about me. The teacher's name was Valerie Jennings. She told me that writ ing exercises were part of the program and she thought she had written something about herself in the past.The next day I went to her office and asked her if she could show me some way to write about myself. I remember reading a lot about myself and deciding that this was the writing exercise I was looking for. After she showed me the exercises she told me that she'd actually done a bunch of research into herself and found that she was from New York and she was also going to be the first in her family to graduate from college.She was taking advanced American history and she said she didn't care much about which university she went to, as long as she graduated. In a way I was kind of rooting for her, since I figured that what she did all those years ago made it so that she was smart and wouldn't have a problem finishing school.A few weeks later I came back to the teacher and asked her if she could read through her notes from the last time we met. I found out that she had actually wri tten a pretty good bit about herself and included a few poems and a few paragraphs about herself. It was fascinating.Anyway, a few months later the teacher asked me if I would write about myself in a paragraph or two in my senior year. That's when I took the chance and finally got to tell a little something about myself.I'm writing this on a note pad right now, but it feels like a novel, because the sentences are so simple and so short and I'm finding it hard to describe what I am trying to say in a sentence fragments kind of way. Anyway, I think this is a pretty good summation of the story of how I ended up writing a little something about myself and also why I wrote it all the way back in my college years.
